Disperse Dyeing, Transfer Printing

I have really enjoyed revisiting disperse dyes. The colours they give when transferring them to substrates is wonderful. In this instance it was on to pelmet Vilene and when they are coated with a layer of acrylic wax the colours just zing.

I choose to cover the front, back and spine of this Seawhites sketch book after embellishing with stencils and running stitch.

I am into quotes about art by artists at the moment so this is one of my favourites by Vincent.

I always try to make the back of my covered book as interesting as the front!
