The cream fabric is pinned down for the top right, pleased with the shape, I will attach it down by couching machine wrapped cords, see below. 
I machine wrapped three different coloured cords for the edging of the cream shape. 
This shows one night's work, I couched the three cords separately and used seed stitch on the cream fabric, I might put some pale lilac on this later if I feel it needs it.

Generally pleased with the first session of stitching. The next task is to create a loose linear effect on the purle felt, will have to go back to my TAST library for inspiration.

Where else but this challenge, are we going to see a fibre artist say she played around with some images of gall bladders in order to design a piece of stitching!! LOL.
Good for you - a creative design and the stitching looks full of interest too, with the flat seed stitches and the 3D effect of the couching.

I think the choice of subject - images of the gall bladder is most unusual and I do think you've done a great job translating it into fabric and embroidery.

When it comes to designs, you certainly have taken it further! I LOVE the gall bladder idea! Life is too short to stay in the box! Very nice photos! Looks like this will be lovely. Can't wait to see the next step!
