The aim of this blog is to enable me to share my love of textiles and threads with like minded people. I have always sewn either by hand or machine. I even taught it in the 1970s for a while. I now create my own substrates on which to stitch. Natural methods of dyeing and botanical printing allow me to combine many aspects of my life that bring me joy. Gardens, art and stitch.

Cyber Fyber
Visit this blog Cyber Fyber to find out about what Susan Lenz is up to. It is a blog created by fiber artist Susan Lenz for the upcoming international exhibition CYBER FYBER scheduled January 8 - 20, 2009 at Gallery 80808/Vista Studios, 808 Lady Street in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. I have just successfully swopped an ATC and fabric postcard with Susan for the exhibition. I have a month to send her my swops. Sounds like a huge task but it has been well thought out and organised. She has some interesting invited guest exhibitors including Dale Rollerson from Oz, Maggie Grey, Sharon Boggon, and Lynda Monk, plus some names that are new to me but having looked at their websites inspiring choices.
